Lego what?

May 17th, 2012 by Ashley Dias, Dallas office

While stuck on a plane recently I spent a little time catching up with Dwell on flipboard.  One link led to another and then I came across this craziness.  An island made out of legos.  I’ve been our blog reporter on the lego beat it seems, keeping pulse of interesting items related to this toy we’ve all had a chance to enjoy at some point in our lives in some way.  What do you think?  Could you ever have an island, counter or piece of furniture in your home made out of legos?  Long live legos!  Image above is a print screen from the Dwell online article.

I saw this in heir magazine a while back. A friend of mine and I priced doing a desktop with legos (buying bulk legos from the internet). The cost of (new) materials alone were in the thousands!
